Volunteers pick up and store pantry sets of non-perishable groceries (4 bags per client) for delivery to those in need who do not have their own transportation. We ask that if you accept a delivery request that you deliver within 24 hours to a client. You choose which deliveries work for your schedule. Opportunities arise daily.

Project SARAH (Stop Abusive Relationships at Home): The core value of the volunteer piece of the Domestic Violence Program is to educate our community on the issues of domestic abuse, to provide information and resources, and to be a support system for victims.

Project SARAH (Stop Abusive Relationships at Home): The core value of the volunteer piece of the Domestic Violence Program is to educate our community on the issues of domestic abuse, to provide information and resources, and to be a support system for victims.

Speaker’s Bureau: Volunteers will go to various organizations, synagogues, senior groups, men’s groups, sisterhoods, and schools to speak on the topic of domestic violence.  Volunteers will follow a prepared scripted speech.  They will bring educational materials, flyers, and brochures for their audience. Distribution of Materials: Volunteers and/or JFCS staff will obtain permission from all types of establishments to leave educational cards on domestic violence in a cardholder at their facility.
