Who We Are

Our transportation programs helps older adults who are unable to drive to maintain their independence by providing transportation to medical appointments.

Medical Rides, offered by volunteer drivers, provide one-way or round-trip rides for medical appointments or to go to any JFCS counseling appointment or group session.

Take the Wheel, offered through the JFCS Veterans Support Program, offers transportation to veterans, from fellow veterans and local volunteers, to medical and wellness appointments.

What We Do

We provide transportation to older adults and veterans to medical appointments, treatments, and more.

To become a volunteer driver, an individual must:

  • Have a valid drivers license, insurance, and registration
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Be willing to complete the application process
  • Be able to accept ride requests online (select appointments that work best for you)
  • Have availability Monday-Friday during the day
  • Bring a smile and compassion to someone in need
