Description

Project SARAH (Stop Abusive Relationships at Home): The core value of the volunteer piece of the Domestic Violence Program is to educate our community on the issues of domestic abuse, to provide information and resources, and to be a support system for victims.

  • Speaker’s Bureau: Volunteers will go to various organizations, synagogues, senior groups, men’s groups, sisterhoods, and schools to speak on the topic of domestic violence.  Volunteers will follow a prepared scripted speech.  They will bring educational materials, flyers, and brochures for their audience.
  • Distribution of Materials: Volunteers and/or JFCS staff will obtain permission from all types of establishments to leave educational cards on domestic violence in a cardholder at their facility.
